Ok so two years ago i got a light blue hoodie and pants set from Loehmanns by the brand Urchin whose name has since changed... Well that ensamble has gotten too many narsty stains on it and I am now seeking an alternative.
Purpose: Louging around my apartment. I am also going away again for 3 weeks of training. In the evenings we are allowed to wear lougy type clothes and I want something cute. Besides juicy and other cute alternatives to cute comfy loungy wear?
I know I know Juicy is supposed to be out but I've never gotten a Juicy set and its still on the top of my list for when I get a real job this summer and I've lost a few more pounds. I say go with them. I have 2 from express from a few years ago (cotton) and I love them and wear them when I'm lounging around or running short errands.
I definately recommend Juicy, I have a few pairs and just love them. Also recently bought a velour set from Club Monaco and they are surprisingly nice and soft. Also they were on sale like 2 days ago.

The fashion hounds of the world could scream that Juicy is so over from the mountaintops and I wouldn't care. I've winced each time I've bought my Juicy sets (all full price, a rarity for me), but I've always found that I've worn them so much that I get my money's worth.
I recommend the velour because it wears better than the terry and fleece and it is also the most comfortable of the three.

Couldn't agree more. I actually don't have a jump suite but have juicy jeans and purse and love love love them. Anyway, I'm leaning towards terry just becouse I like it more then velore but I don't know how it wears and stuff like that. I just think terry is very spring/summery and cute/cozy looking.

If you're looking to have your set for a while...my sprout terry hoodie and pants have faded from their original color and have small weirdo bleach spots on them now. I've had the set since June 2003 and I only noticed this happening a few months ago, though. In comparison, my pink velour set still looks like new and I've had it since October 2003.
I have Juicy pants in terry, a jacket in velour (worn seperatly of course) and tube dresses in both. I personally like the terry better because the material is lighter. I'm really hot natured so I can get hot in the velour and don't like to wear it in summer and spring.
Another thing you should consider is color. Other than basics like black and white, a specific color may only be available in one material.
Hee. I think I agree with Maddie but damn, I love Juicy! I can't help myself. I voted for the terry but now I'm having second thoughts. I have velour and terry stuff from Juicy and although I just like terry as a fabric, I find the Juicy terry isn't *too* good at holding up - it's not very thick or strong. In one way that's good because it drapes nicely, but it also wears out quicker. The velour is warmer...so you might want to take that into acc't as well.

I voted no because, well, it's over. I know they're comfy. I know all the advantages, and when I see them out, I would never judge. But oh baby, it's over.
To be honest, and here's where y'all get to laugh at me, I'm really feeling grey and white knits in classic but still sexy and fitted shapes, sort of an old-time boxing feel, with bright shoes (I hate the Nike things, too overdone, and since I need new gym shoes, I'm traveling out of town to buy the orange asics tomorrow). Call me crazy, but it makes me feel sexy and clean, like a shampoo commercial or something
I say if you can afford it then yes in either terry or fleece. I can't seem to bring myself to spend quite so much on one but I do love them. I did get an alternative as one of my Christmas gifts from my mom from New York and Company in pink cotton/fleece with rhinestones on the zipper of the jacket and on the low part of the pant leg on the outer part of the seam - only like 4 or 5. Its so cute and very comfy. I think it was like fifty bucks. What I like about it also is that the pants come in short and since I am 5'1 it is always hard for me to find pants that are short enough. So this one works great for me.
I buy the Juicy hoodies in terry and velour, then I get my pants from Target. I am werid about knock off stuff and since you can tell in the hoodies I stay with the real thing. I do own a set in the velour from Juicy and I can't bring myself to wear them together. I like my hoodies in the fun colors and then stick with the pants in plain black or mix them. Like I would wear my hoodie with some other kind of loungy pants and then the pants with a tee or another brand of a fleece hoodie, like champion. I am also interested in who Urchin is now too! Oh I like terry better.
Personally I'd stick with a Juicy velour set. However if you're looking for a less $$ alternative, or afraid the look might be over Victoria's Secret has all their velour on sale right now. They have hoodies and pants in cute colors and the price is less than half what Juicy costs. I also recommend VS yoga pants and wrap-around fleece. So cute and comfy and on sale too right now!
