i unearthed my black ag angels a few days ago. i have an on-again, off-again relationship with these jeans. i love the way they fit, but i have such a hard time wearing them. to me, everything looks weird with black jeans except a black or white top, which is really boring. i guess they're easier to dress up, with a satin-y top and heels.
i'm just interested to see how everyone else feels about black jeans.
i have the same problem. i have a faded black pair of diesel jeans, that i never wear for the same reason. everything i pair with them just looks kind of off. sorry i'm not much help, but i feel your pain.
I have the same love/hate relationship. Sometimes it is a nice break from my regular washes, but I only wear them with black, I also feel funny about other colors with them.
IMO black jeans are hard to wear, especially if they're faded. I can't bring myself ot own a pair for that reason.
My BF has a pair of Seven bootcuts in black, though. I've seen him pair it with a taupe button down Kenneth Cole shirt and black dress shoes, which is one of his favorite outfits.
My black 7s used to be my favorite jeans, I'd wear them with tops in pink, blue, black, white, purple, whatever - they looked good with almost all of my stuff, but maybe the wash (more gray than black) made it easier to match.
I have a pair of black Citizens that I only wore once. I busted them out for NYE and wore a bronze-ish gold-ish cami with them and it was a hit. I got a TON of compliments on my jeans - I may have to push them into the regular jeans rotation
