Maxi Dress, What shoes to wear?

Hi , I just found a maxi dress in my mother's closet. I loved it!!!
It is a halter maxi dress....the background of the dress is a cream color and it has red tulips painted on it, hot pink daiseies, and all the steams are green. Sorry, no picture....
I don't know what shoes i should wear....maybe flats?
Any suggestions?

I have some maxi dresses, and I wear a shoe height that allows the hem of the dress to be just above the ground.  so whatever shoe height that is for you, that's what I would recommend wearing.  sounds like a fabulous dress!

I would do a flat gladiator sandal or a wedge platform espadrille (depending on how long it is)

Along with the height/length D mentions, for me it depends on where you want to wear it. For casual use I think flat red or tan sandals. For something more upscale, maybe peeptoe wedges or sandals with a stacked wood heel.

How would bronze look with it?

I guess I'm with everyone else then, as I would have said some sort of sandal...unless you need something with a heel because the dress is longer than you.

On most people, I think maxi dresses are by far the most flattering when they are worn with casual heels rather than flats (and I hate saying that because I am a flats wearing girl). So I would recommend sandals with some sort of heel.
