Dress for 5 o'clock wedding

I've picked up a couple of dress recently and wonder whether either would work for a five oclock wedding.  Are either dress enough if I wear with strappy heels, dressy jewerly?

if it helps, its a church wedding with the reception at a restuarant on the georgetown waterfront (if that means anything to anyone here : ) )

I do like both, but the first one from Anthro seems to make more of a statement...so that's what I would go with.

are they both silk dresses?

if so, I do think both are very pretty and appropriate but #2 seems to work better for the location/surroundings.

thanks for all the input!

#2 is actually cotton. so maybe i should stick with #1. I was just worried about the dresses not be dressy enough for the wedding but your votes of confidence have helped!
