So I finally went for a professional fitting and gasp! turns out I've been wearing the wrong size, I am actually smaller in the cup and larger in the band than I thought. How depressing.
I dropped lots o dough on this Simone Perele bra:
I also tried on the Le Mystere Dream Tisha and Tisha T Shirt... NOT A FAN! They were very molded, very stiff, and very squeaky! Whats up with that?
I bought the same bra some time back but must admit it isn't one of my favorites and rarely gets out of the bra drawer.
I have a few dream tishas but I think they are ugly. I like the look and shape of them under fitted knits but have found a few I like even more that look pretty so the dream tishas have been relegated to exercise wear when my shock absorbers are all in the laundry.
If you are looking for quality bras, check out panache, fantasie, prima donna, and lejaby. Lejaby is great for the D cup and under. Lise Charmel is gorgeous but they are VERY pricey. My current favorite bra is the Allure by Fantasie. I have 5 of them in ivory, black, and burgundy. Comfortable molded cup bra with nice shape and pretty details.
The Tishas are comfy but ugly. I don't really like the shape they give at all. I don't buy them anymore, but when I did I only wore them on T-shirt days or days I cared more about having great support than looking great.
But I think splurging on a good bra is one of the best ways to spend money. I have a gazillion bras and they were all around $100. My friends think I'm crazy (because they all get theirs at Target and considering VS a splurge) but I'm willing to plunk down a lot. You look better and you feel better!
But congrats on getting a good bra fitting! I'm always pushing people to do that

How awkward it was! She was all up in my area! And actually told me "oh honey you really need my help"
I do like the bra I bought but at $75 a pop, I could only splurge on one. Ttara, I'll probably be probing you in the future (when the budget omits) for some recs since I believe you are the resident expert :)
