I need to buy 2 pairs of really good walking shoes for the breast cancer walk I'm doing in a month. What are some supportive comfortable shoes you all would recommend I go try on? Bonus points if they have some pink in them! TIA!

I have these shoes and I love them. I've had them for over a year now, and I swear they are the most comfortable pair of running shoes I've ever owned...it's time for a new pair and I'm considering just ordering these again...plus they are on sale...much cheaper than when i bought them from the New Balance store...
Collette- How long is the walk? If this is the 60 mile 3-day walk, you really need to go get professionally fitted for shoes. They can do this at any running specific store. And if you don't have them already, make sure you get some of the fancy running socks that are seamless. The two layer ones are particularly nice.
I don't really want to recommend specific shoes because it really depends what kind of shoe you need - stability, neutral, motion control, etc. The running store should have professionally trained employees who can tell you what kind of support you need. But typically good brands are New Balance, Asics, Mizuno, Nike, Adidas, Brooks, etc.
Have fun!
P.S. You should be replacing your shoes every 3 to 4 months - unless you're doing very high mileage, then you should replace even earlier. The support and cushioning starts to break down at that point, doing damage and increasing wear and tear on your body. This goes for walking and running.
Collette - you should totally go to Fleet Feet and have them do the shoe test on you. They will analyze how you walk and recommend the best ones for your feet, etc. One of my friends did it for the Chicago Marathon and she swears by it.
