I found a great pair of Manolo Blahnik rhinestone sandals for my wedding. Thing is that I'm usually a 7.5/8 (more 8 or 8.5 on European/narrow brand shoes) and these Manolos are size 39. I think they would be fine except my feet may slide forward because the front strap is wide. I've had this problem in the past when the front straps gets stretched out I can't wear them anymore.
Do you think this will be a potential problem that I won't be able to fix with just shoe pads? Anyone with experience on this style of MB's? Even on Shoebunny, looks like most of the celebs have this problem of the feet sliding forward too.
Not sure if these are the exact same shoe, but definitely the same style:
Do you think it will be OK if I just put the pads in the front so my feet don't slide forward? TIA!
I am an 8 and in open toed shoes, if I wear an 8.5 (which I believe is a 39) my toes do not go near the edge of front of the shoe, and it looks redic. I wouldn't risk it for your wedding, but then again I am not familiar with the more expensive/European sizing.
Do you have enough time to get them, try them out and return them if they're not a good fit? Manolos are generally kind of all over in terms of sizing, I think, so they could be great, or they could not be so great. And I can speak from experience that trying to make a pair of too big heels work with shoe pads is not any fun, so there's no way you'd want to try to endure that on your wedding!
