matching browns

I bought a pair of brown shoes to match my brown suit i bought in Europe. Well, at least I thought they'd match but I foolishly didn't bring the suit when I bought them. I now realize the color is off. The suit is a little more reddish, the shoes a bit darker brown. Its too late to return the shoes and with Xmas I can't really afford a new pair.

Is it ok to wear shoes that are a little off? Or would the slightly different shades be unrecognizable to anyone except me who has spent hours paranoidly scrutinizing them? What could I wear insted?

I personally think it is ok to wear different shades of brown...as long as they are not a shirt and pants that are real close...but soes and sut, pants and suit, ect are ok since they are not right next to eachother....I also like to wear two opposite shades of brown like chocolate and khaki

I think it's ok to wear them.

Shoes don't have to match the exact color of your suit IMO.

I would agree.  Shoes don't have to be the exact color of the suit.

Oh just wear the shoes.  Later when $$$$ isn't an issue you can upgrade and find a pair you like better.

Fuckit, I think it's totally OK to wear differing shades of brown, as long as the whole outfit isn't composed of them...heh.
