Do any of you have the Nike Shox? Reviews? I am going to jog in the race for the cure and need some new tennis shoes. I know I'll have to get inserts to support my arch, I have a pretty high arch. I got some Asics but they seem a little heavy and hurt my ankles.
I have ridiculously high arches and I had a pair of shox. I did not have a very good experience with them...Shin splints and a lot of knee pain. But, my sister and BF both have them and LOVE them.
For me, New Balance shoes have been my saving grace. Very light, with the just the right amount of cushioning. I bought New Balance inserts as well and they have seriously helped with my arch issues. I have this shoe (the 767) it's amazing AND part of the proceeds go to support Breast Cancer Research, which is pretty cool in general, but especially since you're doing Race for the Cure...they even have the little pink ribbons on the tounge....just an added bonus.... http://www.joesnewbalanceoutlet.com/detail.asp?style=W767SV&size=8.5&width=B&category=all&selection=wshoes&sort=ADDED&shoeLast=&price=
Good luck in your race!

Carrie Bradshaw: The fact is, sometimes it's really hard to walk in a single woman's shoes. That's why we need really special ones now and then to make the walk a little more fun.
Hey FP! I recommend going to FleetFeet and letting them do an analysis on your foot and help you select the correct pair of tennis shoes. The pricing for the shoes is going to be the same as shox, but they will be much better for your feet!

We think a lot alike, FP! I've been searching the web for some new Shox myself. I played in a B-ball T-ment (just for fun) this passed weekend and decided I really needed some athletic clothing/shoes. My DH will ONLY wear Shox, so he's insisting that I buy some. Mine will mostly be used for the gym/casual days playing with Hayden. So, I'm hoping they're comfy!
I second the recommendation to go and have your stride and gait analyzed by a shoe store that specializes in running shoes. I am an overpromator and if I don't wear the right shoes my hips and knees ache. Saucony and Asics are my faves right now.
