I just discovered Theory slacks but didn't have time to figure out how all the different styles fit. I had two seconds to try on the Solada (I think that was it ?) and the Mark (again, not sure) and it looks like I wouldn't need alterations for those. I seem to always run into the fuddy duddy baggy bottom thing with work slacks and Theory seems to avoid that right off the bat. I think it's a question of the back seam being too long for me so that there is excess material that just hangs wierdly. I've had to alter most of my slacks there and am now sitting on a pile of cute Ann Taylor slacks that stll need alterations. I'd rather get the Theory's at this point but I'm confused.
I hate the price so I checked Ebay. I've been seeing the Max C style alot there as well as the term "Tailor" . I'd love some info if any of you guys have the scoop. TIA!
I love Theory for work. I beleive Tailor is a material, not the style. My favorite for work are the Emery style in Tailor fabric. They have the most classic slack look, straight or boot-cut leg and belt-loops. The Max-C is similar but a slimmer fit in the hips and a bit more of a flared leg. Maybe you tried the Max-C? I would say the Emery is a little looser in the seat area than the Max-C.
Thank you Halah! I had computer problems and couldn't get to the forum, I appreciate the advice. Sounds like I need to stick to the slimmer cut...I hope to get to Nordies and try some on if they have my size. I got two pairs at TJMaxx (we've got a Runway section, hehe!) but they are sort of loose so I prob need to size down a bit or take them in. I wish there was a rundown somewhere on how they style these!

huge 2nd to this. i have 4 pairs of emery's and absolutely love them. i found that the max c is a good cut a bit slimmer in the seat.
check off 5th for some good deals. i've found theory @ marshall's for an amazing price as well. and if you have a NM near you, definitely scour their racks.
