I've been checking out the fall shows and LOVING a lot of what I'm seeing. A lot of designers are showing really beautiful, tailored, 40's/50's-inspired things, in gorgeous rich fabrics. It's been done a zillion times before, but it never loses its appeal for me. The Michael Kors collection in particular is VERY 50s, and actually reminds me a lot of Laura Bennett's collection from Project Runway... which is kind of ironic, considering all the "beautiful but boring" comments she got.
Derek Lam, DVF, Kors
Kors, Kors, De La Renta
Kors x 3
Monique Lhullier, Kors, Lela Rose
Elie Tahari and Rachel Roy also showed some beautiful classic styles, too, though I'm having trouble copying them from the style.com website. Yumminess!
