I hadn't been looking at bags lately at all, but I think this could work for school - I've been taking my normal bag and a school bag previously because my currently canvas messenger won't hold my wallet and water bottle.  I saw this and liked it before I knew the code would work on it - I thought it was only for sale items. 

There is no way in hell I could ever, ever pay $800 for a bag so even though I liked it I never even considered buying it.  But the leather looks so soft and broken in already, yum!  I know that quite a few people here have the AB saddle bag, so I'm assuming the quality is good?

I have to agree with Erin - I'm thinking sale goggles.

The quality of AB *is* good, and the leather on this bag looks lush, but the hardware and the general shape of the bag are nothing special to me (JMO). If a bag is going to cost $800 (or even almost $300 on sale) it really ought to look it, and to me this just doesn't. Again, JMO, and if you love it, that's a great deal.

See I think it's great for a school/work bag. And the color and leather do look yummy! If you were looking to buy a school bag anyway then I say go for it.

I dont recommend spending that much on a school bag because it's going to get pretty beat up. You'll be stuffing different sized hardcover books, setting it on the floor, carrying a ton of paperwork, pens/highlighters, etc.

the leather looks SCRUMPTIOUS. and it's definitely going to get beat up as a school bag, but i think it'll look scrumptious-er as it gets used and abused.
