STYLETHREAD -- LET'S TALK SHOP!

I'm looking for a light trench. I've been to all the usual places...Nordstrom, JCrew, Banana, Bloomingdales, Macy's, Dillard's, Bluefly...online, with no luck. I'm a little picky though - I want it to be single-breasted (I'm finding tons of double-breasted ones), hit about mid-thigh, and not button all the way up to the neck, if you KWIM...I'd like it to have more of a V-neck collar. The color isn't a huge deal - I'd take dark brown, black, winter white, or even consider a rich colored coat (pastels don't work for me). And I'd like to keep the price around (or under) $200.

I prefer really simple, classic clothes, and so many of the coats I'm seeing are more "foofy" than I'd prefer. Any suggestions (other than the places I've already looked)?

Also, I'm looking for cargo pants. I bought some from JCrew last year, and pretty much wore them to death. I'd love to replace (in brown, and black) them, if you know of any good ones. I know they're a little harder to find now that they're not the "in" thing (at least I'm finding them harder to come by).
