Ok...I've been on here a few times over the past couple of years. I don't post often as I am extremely challenged when it comes to fashion but I check in at least 5 times a week. I guess I will just consider myself an eternal lurker...lol.
I am pregnant for the first time and am 5 1/2 months expecting a baby girl! I'm so excited and counting down the days...
My question is that I am a size 18, barely showing and need fashion help. What kind of ideas do you have to help create outfits with clothes I already have (just may not be able to close) and what basics should I invest in. Thanks ladies!
If you don't already own some empire-waist tops, I run and get some! Since that's been a regular 'style' lately I don't think you'll have too much trouble finding them - Target pops into my mind (they have good maternity stuff too!).
Then you can continue to wear whatever jackets or cardis you have over the tops. You might be able to find some new ones on clearance too, this time of year.
I know some people do the ol' hairband through the button hole of jeans trick instead of buying maternity pants, but that requires a looong cami (or a belly band).
Ann Taylor Loft has maternity stuff now too, and has some of their basics on sale. Maybe try there?

I would check Old Navy and Gap. They have cute maternity clothes and you can often find really good deals for these on ebay.
Not sure where you live but there is a Gap Clearance Center in Kentucky that I highly recommend. If you live within driving distance you can score MAJOR deals here. They have a ton of maternity stuff there now and everything is 6.99 or under! I even scored some black maternity pants and maternity bathing suits there for .49 cents when I was pregnant with my last son! No kidding!

i agree! old navy had the best quality and best prices for maternity clothes. i also liked marshall fields/macy's for mimi maternity clothes on clearance. they had really pretty clothes and i liked the fit. if you are not yet fitting into maternity clothes, i would just try stretchier waisted pants, like black yoga type pants that'll go with everything, or skirts with a stretchy waist. i didn't wear maternity clothes until 6-7 months into my last pregnancy, just because there are so many clothes out there that will fit right now. empire tops, loose dresses, etc. good luck!
