A very good customer of mine, has invited me and DH to her wedding next weekend. Of course I have procraistinated ALOT and not bought her a gift yet.
So , this is her (and his) second marriage, they both have 2 children from previous marriages (ranging from 7 - 14) and they are very non-traditional. (wedding is a unity ceramony , non -religous, to join there families together)
So any suggestions on a gift for the family to enjoy???
Hmmm...that's tough, only because they probably have everything they need. But, on the other hand, it also makes it a bit more fun because you can get them something fun, instead of something boring, like china.
Just some ideas off the top of my head: a Netflix subscription (which the whole family would like), a GC to a nice restaurant (for two), or a GC to a spa for his/hers massages. Also, you're outside of San Diego, right? I have no idea how much any of this would be, but it's worth looking into: a day pass for the whole family to visit the zoo, the WAP, Sea World, or LegoLand (depending on the ages of the kids) or some sort of guided wine tour through Temecula. Again, I have no idea how much that stuff would be or if it would be cost-prohibitive, but because they presumably have what they absolutely need, I think that frees you up to do something a bit more out-of-the box.
I like NCShopper's idea of a GC to a restaurant or a spa. Are they going on a honeymoon? If so, you could find out where they are staying, and have the GC waiting for them at their hotel for either a nice dinner or a spa day on their honeymoon.
Yeah, my first thought was fun. Maybe there is a fun, non-cheesy X-of-the-Month club to which you could give them a subscription. Flowers of the month or something. Gifts.com features some fun ones.
I had friends in a similar situation and we got them a set of white ceramic popcorn bowls from C&B with big bowl + four little bowls, a bag of gourmet popcorn, and Blockbuster gift certificates (pre-Netflix days).
