I signed up for a class that starts in a few weeks, and kind of forgot about getting something to wear to it. Oops. (Maybe it was somewhat intentional, as the thought of me, in public, in a leotard, makes me want to vomit....)
Anyway, does anyone have any clue where I can go to buy a leotard, ballet tights, and shoes? B+M would be ideal...I dont know what kind of stores sell this stuff.
Does the class specify that you have to wear tights and a leotard? Lots of adult classes don't make you do that. You can get away with yogo pants, a fitted tank top and ballet slippers.
I'm not sure of any b & m stores where you live, but in my area with have independent dance shops. Maybe you could look for those. For online, I recommend www.discountdancesupply.com

yeah, unfortunately the one class that fits into my schedule is at a school thats kind of a jerk about that. I'll check out the links and maybe see if the school can recommend someplace local. Thanks!
I second what others have said about most dance stores being independent. I would check Yelp for good reccs in your area.
If you aren't able to go into a B&M store, I agree with kenzie that discountdance.com is the best. For adult leotards, I have found BodyWrappers and Mirella to be the most TTS. I usually stick with capezio tights. And sansha split sole canvas shoes are far and away the best technique shoes (everyone I know pretty much agrees on this).
