ive been on the hunt for flat boots that i like for a while, and this season finally came across a few inexpensive pairs i like- but now i am worried about how much actual use i will get out of them- some of these look too tight for tucking in jeans...
which of these do you think is most practical(esp in the long term)? also- how do you wear your flat boots?

ooo- found another pair i like... f other recs are very welcome! thanks so much!
I don't have a pair of flat boots currently, but I just wanted to say that my cousin was wearing those Michael Kors boots (last pair pictured) in black over the holidays and they are gorgeous! She said they are really comfy as well. I think flat boots look great with a casual jersey type (Ella Moss-esque) dress with tights.
I have flat boots and honestly I thought I'd get more use of them than I do. They never seem quite "right" with the outfit. So far, I've worn them with jeans tucked in, and with a denim skirt and opaque tights. I don't know if it's my boots in particular or not, but I feel like I always try very hard to make them work with an outfit and it never does quite look right.

I love the last pair pictured. I think they are classic which will make them in style for years to come. I think maybe if you look through some magazines you will get lots of ideas on how to wear them. Or maybe look through the thread style section to see if anyone on the forum has some ideas?
I wear my riding boots constantly. Mine look sort of like the Jcrew ones you posted, but in the color of the last ones. I wear them over jeans, plus with skirts (knee length or mini). I like them best with mini skirts and knee socks.

I love the look but also find that there aren't really that many ways to wear them. I like them over jeans or with a dress and tights. I love the Michael Kors boots pictured, gorgeous!
