What do you think of this purple bag?

I've been eyeing this Goldenbleu Jordan for a while, and it's on sale now.  I really like it for a casual bag, but I don't want to spend the $$$ if it will look dated in a few years.  Do you guys think I can wear this bag for a long time, or is the purple patent leather too trendy?  TIA!

I agree with the others, it seems like the patent leather leather might not be in style for so long, it seems like that trend goes out of style and comes back in though...
