I don't buy alot of Jcrew, mostly because the SAs at my nearest store are bitchy . But there are some sweaters in final sale online that I want!
Do their sweaters tend to be relatively slim-cut? I'm trying to decide between XS and S, and while I fall more into the S sizing I'm afraid they'll be boxy and that I should size down.
Thoughts? These are the ones I'm considering:

I'm not sure if I'll be much help. I'm petite, so I find their clothes to fit larger. I get an XS, and it's still a little loose on me. If you want them to fit snuggly, get the XS, if you want them to be loose, S.
Those sweaters *tend* to be cut on the slim side, but lately it's been varying a lot more between fabrics.
For example, I bought this New Dream shawl collar sweater that was catalog/online only last week in my usual M and it turned out to be HUGE. I thought this one would be slim-cut, but it's not. FYI I also found New Dream to be too itchy to wear against my skin, so I'm not sure I'd recommend the first sweater. But if you do, get the XS.

Oh no! I have that on the way and it was final sale.
In general, I find I can go both ways with jcrew, especially cardis. I just bought one and I might have been able to size up, but the smaller size is fine - just a more fitted look. For their pullovers, I usually size down.
Thank you for your advice! I think I'll pass on the first one, since I'm not allowed to bring anything that's "A little too ...." into my closet and if that one would be "A little too itchy to wear on it's own", it's out. Might still order the cardi in the XS, we'll see.
Thanks .

I have that shawl collar sweater in poppy and I love it! I don't find the fabric itchy at all. It isn't very fitted, but it's not boxy either. I get compliments on it whenever I wear it.
I have the 2nd cardigan in black in a Small. I'm a size 4/6 I suppose (34B, 138lbs, 5'6", 28 in jeans). I could have bought the medium, but the size small still fits and I wanted it to be kind of sexier, since I already have a lot of loose sweaters. So I think the XS could work if you're smaller.
