On Black Friday, which stores are you going to shop? What sales are you making sure to get there early? And Por que? Is there a good sale, looking for something, etc?
I'm not quite sure if any store is worth fighting mobs and globs of people, but there may be one...
How bout you all? Are you drawing out tactics for your shopping? :)
I am going to stay inside with BF, sleep until noon, and eat turkey and ham croissant sandwiches on Black Friday.
I just don't have the patience for Black Friday shoppers, and even if I did I'd only ever wait in line at Best Buy for the crazy deals like the $400 laptop.
I would never wake up super early and deal with the crowds to save a few bucks. I see that Kohl's is opening at 4am, that's out of control! The outlet mall opens at midnight. What's wrong with people?
De nada. I will be taking our 14 y/o and 17 y/o nieces (who are staying with us for Thanksgiving) shopping on Sunday - the 17 y/o turns 18 in a week. But I can't stomach Black Friday - too many years of working retail still leave a bad taste in my mouth about shopping for T-giving and Christmas!

I actually usually really love Black Friday. But this year I just don't feel like it. I want to go shopping, but I must just be cranky lately because most years I think "yay! this is so much fun!" and this year I'm thinking "ugh, how annoying. I'd rather pay a lot more to shop in peace next weekend"

I agree, I 'rarely' do the Black Friday, esp. after T-Giving Day. The crowds are INSANE, people are just NUTZ/rude. So, I may just kick it at home w/my family. I can't stomach waking up and shopping at 4am - good Lord!

I've never done black friday, but this year I am giving it a try. And, I am dragging my poor mother out with me. I'm nearly done with my shopping, and I don't know that any place has a big special on anything I want. But, I'm doing it any way. It may be the last time, but I figure I might as well see what it's like.
I'm going out to TJMaxx because they're having a big cashmere sale that day, and might hit Nordstrom Rack on my way home. Usually places like that aren't super busy because everyone is off buying big-ticket items or stuff for other people . This is my first year going shopping for me on black friday!

I work retail, so I have to be at work at 4:30 in the morning. I might have a family member do the shopping for me if I see anything in the ads that I want.
I'm out. I'm staying home with the boys on Friday. I think I'll start some online shopping possibly though. One thing I will NOT do is to go to the outlets malls at 12 midnight like I tried to do last year. What a disaster. The exit was backed up 5 miles by 11:30 pm when we arrived. We turned around and went home but we actually saw people trying to park alongside the freaking highway to try to get to the stupid outlets. Never again!
Last year I went outlet shopping which started at midnight, mostly just to see the craziness. It did not disappoint! I barely got anything but it was quite an experience, and we left around 3 am when a lot of people were still trying to get there.
This year, I'll be working (fortunately not in retail though, you poor girls!).
