I really want a sweater dress but I want it to be knee length.  It seems every one I've found has been so short on that it barely covers my bum.  I also am wanting something a-line or just not fitted, no need to emphasize my baby weight.  Anyone seen anything?  I'm open to colors and I'd like to keep the price under $100 (but you can feel free to post any options).  Oh, and no turtlenecks, Xzavier needs his dinner handy wink.gif

I am totally addicted to sweater dresses right now...

Anthropologie has a couple of empire cute sweater dresses with nice neck lines that are knee length; only thing is they are between $140 - $150. 

Also, I just bought a sweater dress from Forever 21.  It is grey, short sleeve (well long short sleeve to elbows), empire cut, has three front (non-functional) buttons, and is slightly above knee length -I'm wearing it today... it's only $24.50, but I've never bought F21 before my recent spree so I'm not sure how it will hold up...  It's 100% cotton, but looks like wool.

I was at the new TJ Maxx today (in Pinnacle) and they had several. The store is much more organized so I could actually tolerate looking though the clothes!

Thanks girls, I'll check TJMaxx and Forever21 when I'm in town tomorrow.  And Heather, I'm glad to hear the new TJ's is nice, the one in Fayetteville wears me out!

I am in love with this one from Anthro, but not the price tag!

BR had one awhile back...it had bell sleeves, a scoop neck, and a slightly empire waist. It may still be in store. Anyone know what I am talking about?

Yep, I have that one and it would be perfect, but I don't know that it's available anymore.  I got it quite a while ago, and even then, they barely had any left cry

I know the one you are talking about. There was a knockoff of it on F21 in gray and yellow.  Was te BR one bluish/green?

I've seen it IRL, but did not try it on.  I thought it was very cute, but it's not lined and the material is a little thin.  My worry was that if I wore it without pantyhose, my panty line would show.

They are very similar, but I ended up buying the one I posted because I liked the fit of it slightly better, plus the gathering and sweatheart neckline won me over, plus it was only $10 more, but the overall look is the same.  Quality is decent and fair for Anthro pricing.

See the gathering on the second one is what makes me not want it, I'm afraid it will make me look preggo hmm  I think I might get the first one (if I can convince dh I need it, hehe).  I was thinking of wearing it with brown tights, knee high brown lace up boots and a winter-y scarf that has green/brown/pink/creme in it.  Any other outfit ideas?
