Help! I want a pair of black jeans but I can't decide what silhouette to get... any advice is much appreciated!:)

I like the second pair. The first don't seem to capture the "trouser" or "wide-leg" thing very well...they kind of just look like what I'd see walking out of Hot Topic or a particularly morbid 70s.

I have loved wide leg jeans since at least 1995!  LOVE THEM!  That being said, I really do prefer the second pair - they look super flattering.  Plus, something about the wide legs looks off to me, like they aren't updated enough or something, sorry I can't quite put my finger on it.hmm

Yeah, that first pair is a bit more 'super-flare' than 'wide-leg'.  I like the second pair since they look very flattering, but a true trouser-style black jean would be a fresh, updated look too.

so it turns out the second pair are purple/brown! not black... good thing i called to check.
