I bought a new pair of shoes that were a little too tight-- but the next size up was HUGE. I just tried them on after picking them up from the cobbler that put rubber soles on them, and they are definitely too tight I think. Has anyone had any luck with having shoes stretched? Do you know how much a cobbler can stretch them safely?
I have had my "shoe guy" stretch some sandals that were too tight, I would say he got alot of room in there. I also had him stretch a pair of boots in the calf, ALOT. With the boots, it was a long process, I would come in once a week, try them on, then he would have to do a little more stretching. Any more and he worried that the leather would rip. Just make sure your guy is experienced with stretching and you should be fine.
Also, you might want to try a home remedy, soak a cotton ball in alcohol and swab your shoes on the inside of the leather, then wear thick socks and wear the shoes around the house.
