Hey girls! I have been to a few bridal shops now (even went with shopchicago two weekends ago when she came over to Boston -- what a blast!) and have found not one, but several dresses I love.
I'm looking for your opinions/comments that might help sway me towards one or the other because right now, I feel indecisive (what's new...) I have gotten that "I think this is THE dress!" feeling with all of them.
notes:
-I wasn't allowed to take any photos in any of the shops :( Most of you know my style and know what I look like through TS posts so try to imagine what they look like on me!
-dress prices are relatively similar so that's not a factor
-wedding: 11.22.08; indoors as it will be cold in RI / evening / at a historic mansion with separate ballroom
TIA for your thoughts :)
#1) Silk satin mermaid; alencon lace cap sleeves and overlay on bust and bottom hem; would get in ivory
#2) Beading at bust, would get in color shown
#3) Silk faced satin organza; alencon lace at bust and near bottom. This photo does not do this dress justice! It is really gorgeous especially when you walk, the bottom looks kind of "frothy" for lack of a better word. Would get in ivory as shown.
#4) Silk satin mermaid dress w/ beading under bust. Straps are supposed to sit at the tips of the shoulders but can be worn on the shoulders as well.
I would get all of them and wear a different one every hour. Hehehe. Seriously, I couldn't choose. They're all amazing! But if I had, had, had to choose, I'd say 1 or 3.
I think they are all gorgeous, but I love #1....but it may be b/c that's how I picture my wedding dress. Not that I'm getting married in the near future that i know of, but if i were that's how I would want it to look. Sorry for the rambling.
I saw #1 and #4 on Christine IRL and while both are breathtaking, #1 blew me away - it looks like it was made you!
That being said - I love #3 equally. It all depends if you want the sweet look of #1 or the sexier look of #3. I'm happy to fly back to Boston and help you decide
I LOVE 3 -- it's lovely. And I like the last one, too, because it's the same shape as my wedding dress (you and I have very similar taste). I think 1 & 2 could have the potential to make one look "poochy" (even though you're not) because of the seam & the way they're cut.
I only see 4 dresses -- is there a 5th?

3 and 4 are my favorites, although they are all beautiful!

i really like 3 and 4 but am leaning more towards 3 b/c i tried on a dress similiar to 4 and hated the straps b/c they felt like they were falling off even though that was the style of the dress.
They are all beautiful, but I think my favorites are 3 (love the bottom) and 4 (love the top...I feel like every wedding I've been to lately the bride has worn strapless...this style is a bit more unexpected).
