Keep or return? Tags are still on it and I have the original receipt.
French Connection. $169 (full price), 100% cotton.
I LOVE it, but I think it *feels* too big and it's not as versatile as I'd like. I'm also on a pretty limited budget these days so I really want to only buy things when they're good deals. Also, I think I need other things more, like
* Sweaters. * Turtlenecks to layer under my dresses so I can wear them into fall. * black flat leather boots (or those 8020 hidden wedge boots that i lurve and have heard to be as comfy as sneakers)
But I still adore this dress. I know it's a flattering silhouette and I love the general vibe. If I didn't have to worry about paying a mortgage, I'd keep it for sure, but I just keep feeling guilty about this one now...
This is a tough one. Honestly, I say return and then stalk like crazy to see if it goes on sale...but it hurts to say that because I do love it on you...
Seeing the dress on you prompted me to get it myself . I got it at the bloomies private sale though, so I got 25% off and the extra $25 off. Maybe check bloomies. I think it looks great on you.
I was going to say keep before I read your post. Now I think that if you're feeling guilty about it, return it. It's a gorgeous dress on you, but if it's meant to be, then you'll get it at a discount or when the cost feels more reasonable for you. I love clothes and shoes and all that jazz, but nothing you buy should make you feel bad.
I agree that it looks great on you but if you aren't going to enjoy wearing it because of the guilt, then return it. If you can rationalize it, then keep it.
It looks really cute on you, but hey its just a dress and you will find other dresses you like just as much! Especially having to pay the mortgage - well that comes first (unfortunatly!)

I'm returning it tomorrow morning. I think that I can get a lot more useful/needed items from the upcoming sales here with the money I'll get back. If it pops up on sale, I'll know it was meant to be.
you know I love that dress on you...but if you can't really enjoy it because of guilt...then yeah...return. Jettie I'm going to check out my bloomies here!

I'm too late, but I'm glad you're planning on returning it. I'm not a fan either, and it's sort of silly to keep it when you have real needs to consider (clothing and otherwise).
