first trip with lilah, am i forgetting anything?
Permalink Closed

we've stayed at my parents before, but never in a hotel with lilah. (i've also not been in the car with her for more than 2 hours) it's only a 3.5ish hour drive, so i was planning to go during her nap. (and either her nap or bedtime on the way back)

-pack n play
-crib sheet from home to put in the pnp
-food (though i imagine if i run out i can go to the grocery store there)
-snacks for car ride if she wakes up
-bottles
-sippy
-toys
-clothes for various weather conditions (including sleepers)
-stroller
-diapers, wipes, diaper cream, bath stuff

she doesn't have a lovey or blanket, so that's out. any suggestions or things i am missing?

I'm sorry, I don't remember how old Lilah is!
I would suggest a little medicine bag.  For some reason Mr. always seems to have an allergy or teeth-attack when we're away from home.
Have a great trip smile

The kitchen sink, hehe! Isn't that what it feels like when you're traveling with a little one! But seriously, it sounds like you have everything. I don't know if she likes cartoons or anything, but maybe a dvd to play in the hotel room since they usually don't have a very good selection of channels to watch. Have fun! Where ya going?

sibeski: she is 17 months old (and yes, still taking a bottle..i do what i can) as far as i know, she is not allergic to anything, but baby tylenol would probably be a good addition.

fp: good idea. i have some baby einstein dvds i can pack.

not sure if i'm too late in responding, but here are a few things i would add:

baby thermometer
baby benadryl (i never travel w/o it)
baby tylenol or motrin
a couple of toys to keep her occupied in the room
stroller?
baby sunscreen
dvd and laptop or portable dvd player for the room
wipes and tissues for the car, and maybe a spare outfit in case she gets sick
spare sippy cup and drinks for the car

hmm.  that's all i can think of right now.  we have a 10 mo old and 2 yr old and travel a lot.  it gets easier but definitely helps to be prepared.  sounds like you will do just fine!  have fun!

eta--hairbrush, also if you are taking bottles we would always take a bottle of dishwashing liquid and dishwasher brush to clean them.  just an idea in case you run out of clean bottles/parts.
