Rehearsal dinner is at 6PM in a banquet room at a local Old Spaghetti Factory. The OSF part is throwing me off. I've never been but based on the website, it's reading much like Olive Garden and I think I'd feel weird dressing up too much. We'll be coming directly from wedding rehearsal at a Catholic Church.
Thoughts on these dresses? I'm feeling clueless, but want to look good yet not too high maintenence. Also, BF is the co-best man.
1. RP Caftan in Garnet (not the best color choice?)
2. DVF Willow in Chain Link print
3. DVF Anisha in Yellow Scattered Stones
4. RP 70s grommet dress in Seafoam
5. RP pocket dress in Chocolate/Seamfoam print
6. RP sheath dress in black (too funeral? my hairstyle is kinda young right now so I think this could be a nice counterbalance)
Wedding is at 2 PM at aforementioned Catholic church in SoCal (temps will be 80ish). Assuming I get a bra that is lower than my Dream Tisha, does this look good/appropriate? I'm mildly worried about the Miu Mius looking 'stripperish'. I cleared the dress with the bride already (wore it to another wedding the bride was a guest at and she gushed over it).
Also, would it be excessive to change into a different dress for the 4-9 PM reception? I know the bride is switching from a traditional wedding gown to a slinkier number for the reception.
If I were to change, I'd probably go for my Betsey Johnson dress that I've never had an opprotunity to wear. Or is it too cleavage-y?
1. I don't think you should worry about being too dressed up for the OSF. It's a pretty casual restaurant, but it's a rehearsal dinner! Why not put a little extra flair into things? I say go for one of the DVF's. To be honest, I don't think the length of the RP's flatters your legs (mid-calf styles and just below the knee styles of dress / skirt lengths are the hardest to pull off). Though you're wearing what looks like flats or bare feet, so heels might make all the difference. The red RP length does look better to me with shoes.
2. If I was at a wedding and anyone but the bride changed clothes for the reception (unless for some reason *everyone* was changing), I would think that's high-maintenance. And I'm sorry to say that the BJ looks too cleave-y, because it is amazing on you. I just think the the bride should absolutely be the focus of attention at a wedding, and too much cleavage / leg is inappropriate for any guest. JMO, of course.

I love all your looks! For the rehearsal dinner I think 2, 3, or 5 would be best. The outfit you have for the ceremony is fab and switching into the Betsey Johnson would be totally fine.
I like the yellow DVF for the rehearsal dinner - it looks great on you and it's a bit more fun for if you're worried about being too dressed up. For the wedding, I would wear the striped dress throughout - personally I would think that changing into a different outfit is a bit OTT but I haven't been to many weddings so really I don't know about that.
I like 2,4,6,7. I really love your BJ but I don't think it's appropriate for a wedding b/c it's too cleavagey
I think you can definitely dress up for OSF - in my experience, even though the prices are low and you can get away with jeans, many people dress up a little bit and for a while my girlfriends and I would go regularly wearing really nice stuff, and honestly we never felt out of place at all. That's why we kept going back - it was cheap and we could still look pretty

I like #3 best for the rehearsal dinner, followed by #2. For the wedding, especially since it sounds like you don't want to appear high maintenance, I would wear the same outfit the whole day. I love the Betsey Johnson dress and think that as long as you wore it with a wrap that covered you up, or a jacket, during the ceremony, I think you could wear that the whole day. Otherwise, the black and white dress looks great.
At the OSF in KC (now closed) and STL people dress both up and down, but up looks best (as always, IMO). I have seen some really trendy people there, and I feel underdressed when I'm casual. I like #2 and #3 - the DVFs - the best. The wedding dress is fine and the pink Betsey is fantastic!!
I'm debating between 2 (DVF Willow) and 6 (RP black sheath)...6 mostly because I can pretty much feel the same way I do in tees and jeans, not worry about being appropriate/inappropriate AND I could wear the exact same accesories (less packing). 2 is pretty awesome though, and I'd still be able to wear the same shoes...
I think I'm definitely sticking to my striped dress though. I couldn't sleep at night if I wore the BJ, especially in church. I think I'm 1/2 cup size larger now than when that pic was taken so it's even MORE cleavagey. Yeah...
I guess I forgot to note that there's an hourlong car ride to the wedding rehearsal and it's probably going to be hotter than Hades.
For the rehearsal dinner, I think #2, 3, 6 would all be good choices. If you think you'll be most comfortable in #6, then go for it.
As for the wedding, stick to the striped dress. I think it's perfectly appropriate and changing between the wedding and reception would come across as high-maintenance to me. The Betsey Johnson is beautiful on you, but I think the other dress is a more occasion-appropriate choice.

Ditto. i think the BJ is awesome on you, but not right for this occasion. For the RD I love all of them on you, but you seem to be leaning towards #6 so I would go with that one.

I say this one! Its nice, but still isn't too dressy. I love the yellow one, but just b/c of how bright it is, I think 2 would be a better dress-casual look. And I think the last one would be great for the wedding esp. if the bride likes it.
