I wear mine all the time to work. I'm looking to buy another pair soon so I don't ruin my favorite pair. To be fair, I've worn black patent flats since I was a little girl (so many slippery memories...), so they have a special place in my heart.

I think they're very basic - definitely a wardrobe staple.

Black patent is a classic, but in the old days we used to put it away during the fall and winter and bring it out again in the spring. Don't ask me why.
