I'm going to Cabo in two weeks for a week long vacation. A friend of my DH is getting married. Im at a loss for clothing ideas for both the wedding and just for vacay...Any ideas?
BTW-The wedding is on the beach....
Here is what I have bought so far.... Oliver People's Sunglasses (Huge Splurge but worth it!) 2 Armani bikinis that were on sale (black, and gold) white roll up linen pants, navy and white striped t-shirt dress green linen shorts white linen top
Aside from that I haven't bought much else..
What's missing? I've lost inspiration....

an umbrella (yeah sometimes they have freak rain storms there)
I personally would pack AS MUCH jersey knit as you own. Its packs light, and its so wonderful for how hot and muggy it is there. Maybe head to forever 21 for some cheap knit dresses for your tirp.
i was there for the week of july 4th and let me just say, it was HOT (i almost had a heat stroke walking the 3/4 mile from our resort to downtown during the day!). i would agree with AllieGurl and definetely recommend bringing lots of jersey dresses (i bought a bunch of Rachel Pally dresses at ther sample sale and they were perfect. the convertible dress is perfect b/c it's light and you can wear it a bunch of different ways.). they're great for throwing on over your swimsuit during the day, and you can also dress them up at night. also bring some tanks and shorts you don't mind getting dirty, in case you want to go snorkeling or on an atv tour or something.
as for footwear, bring comfy sandals you can walk in b/c you'll be walking everywhere. also bring some flip-flops for the beach and sneakers in case you do something sporty. it's really casual there, so there's definetely no need to bring your louboutins or chanels there.
hope you have a great time! it's really beautiful there and the margaritas are HUGE. have fun!
I just got back from Cabo a few hours ago! It was a great trip. Let me know if you have any questions. It has been really warm down there so I mainly wore sun dresses. During the day I wore my swimsuit all the time and spent most of my time in water. At night I would throw on a sun dress and go out.
One worry about linen, it tends to wrinkle and as hot as you get down there I'm afraid you will sweat and it will wrinkle even worse and just look messy. As the other girls said, cotton jersey is your friend!!
Have fun and wear sunscreen! Everyone was super red down there from the sun!

It's super hot there - really tanks and miniskirts or shorts are perfect. The weather is around 100, but it's a dry heat this time of year, doubtful you'd get rain unless you are going towards end of August or September, when it can get humid.
People will be living in their swimsuits, with cute skirts and tanks at night in the bars, since it stays so warm at night. For sure, bring comfy shoes - the streets are cobblestone and uneven in town.
