Well, here is the long over due review on these Chie Mihara wedges I bought about a month ago:
Well, the shoes get a big thumbs down. I own at least half a dozen Chie Mihara shoes and they all fit TTS, feel so comfy, and of course are as adorable as can be. What keeps me buying her shoes though is the comfort factor which can be hard to find with shoes.
These shoes had to be reordered in an 8.5 (38.5), so they don't fit TTS. Also, I figured they just needed a little breaking in as they rubbed my heel and outside of my big toes. After one day of wearing them I was in such pain, and I barely walked anywhere. They hurt just to sit and wear them on my feet. I bought heel liners, shoe liners, ball of foot pads, and little gel strips for the insdies of the shoes where they rub my toes. I think I must have spent at least $20 trying to make these shoes comfy. I have wore them four times and will probably never wear them again. I think I'm gonna ebay them. They might be the most uncomfortable shoes I ever bought.
I would have returned them if I bought them from Anthro, but I felt bad returning the shoes after I had already exchanged them for the larger size (before I even wore them out I kinda knew they would never be comfy). But since I bought them from I store I had never done business with before I kept them thinking I would make them comfy with add-ons. Now, I've waisted several hundred on garbage. So, if your on the fence, jump off!
Do you think they could have been too small? I wear a size 8 and always have to order 39 in European sizes. Just a thought.
Either way, that sucks that they're not comfy. It seems like all the extra shoe stuff you bought would have helped, even if they were a little small. Weird.
I bet you can ebay them and get some of your $$ back. They are super cute. Just don't mention the pain part.
