so i sold a pretty expensive dress on ebay, and listed in my auction, i asked buyers with less than 10 feedback to email me before bidding. the person who won, did this and i said ok. it was listed as 0 feedback when she bid, and then when she won, i looked at her profile again and it showed 1 feedback, with only a 66.7 rating and a non-paying bidder negative. i emailed her and told her i needed her to paypal within 24 hours, because the dress was expensive, and i didn't want to lose money to relist/wait for payment etc. so she emails me back asking if i can wait until later this week. i just sent her a message saying that i need her to pp within 24 hours.
i have a backup person who offered to buy the dress for the final bid price + shipping, but i feel guilty backing out of this deal, and am sort of worried she'll leave me neg feedback, but i hate having to wait for slow-payers. to top it off, she is from sweden. i should have just said "no" from the get-go, but it's too late for that!
definitely send it to the second person if you don't get paid in time! I wouldn't think negative feedback would be such a big deal, cause I'm sure all the rest of yours is great--and you could always post a response saying "cranky NPB" or something to that effect, right?
