The shape of the dress is not very flattering, but the madras print is pretty. Have you tried belting it? I think it might look better with a braided belt, plus it would show off your waist.
I love madras and I love wierd shapes of dresses and such...and I think you can pull that kind of stuff off...I vote keep...assuming you can afford it.

Ok. Let me start by saying I don't like madras. I saw the JCrew pic and thought, naahh ... but then I saw it on you and was pleasantly surprised. It sort of suits you.
If you like it, I say keep. I am sure it looks better IRL, too.
I know you really want this dress to work, but I just don't think it would really flatter anyone. I might change my mind if I saw it belted, as mcmimi suggested.
I don't care for the way it fits on the model or you,it makes the print look odd. I say return, you can find something much cuter.Sorry I know how much you really like this dress.

hmmm.. i seem to love dresses like this shape (even when my sis tells me it's unflattering). I say go with what you feel. It definietly fits the best and looks really cute from the front. Only the side view is off. Can you try to belt it?
Belt it or return it. I think--while it looks better on you than on the model--that the dress showcases too much madras. I like touches of a famous pattern better. Like a delicate Burberry kneck-scarf worn with black pieces instead of a Burberry plaid coat. -- For Example...
I agree that it doesn't do your figure any justice. Is there any way you could have it altered to nip in at the waist a bit? Or do you think that would ruin the whole look you're after? How about a belt or a sweater to define your waist more?
I don't think it looks bad by any means, but it doesn't "wow" me like other dresses I've seen you wear. I think you could do better.
