I kinda like it. I think it looks so much better on you, than on the model. However, its not that flattering from the side view. I guess you're just going to have to go with your gut feeling.
Here's my 2 cents - if you need a casual, weekend dress (which we all do!) then keep it!!
There are so many times in the summer when it's too hot and you just want to wear a loose dress that still looks great. I like it! Plus, you could have it taken in just a hair on each side to make it more streamlined.
I like it. I agree that it isn't the most figure-flattering style (on anyone) -- but that's okay sometimes and I think it's fun for a casual dress. It's cute!
I know you really want this dress to work, but I just don't think it would really flatter anyone.
yeah I totally agree. LK, it just looks shapeless and does not do justice to your cute figure. You have so many other great dresses, I would save your money for, say, a Rachel Pally--those always look great on you.
I'm not sure if you're still attempting to get other sizes, but I saw a 0,2, 4, 6s at the JCrew in Georgetown, DC today. I also, having been inspired by you, I got a madras skirt from there today. :)
OK ladies, it's going back. I cut my face out of these pics, but the more I looked at the dress on me, I couldn't stop thinking about how young I looked. I don't even mean young like the perpetually 18 that Angelenos always seem to go for (thankfully I'm still looking like this without the help of plastic surgery and whatnot). I mean, I seriously look like I'm 12 with the chipmunk cheeks, blunt-ish bangs + this dress and flips.
Plus it looks like there are way too many great sales for me to be dropping $130+ over at J. Crew.
As always, thanks ladies for being so incredibly supportive and honest!!
