So we're going to see "Wicked" finally tonight and I've just been swamped with activities so I haven't thought about it unti yesterday - What do I wear to see the musical? It's a whimsical musical, not super dressy I think. (at the Pantages for LA folks). I don't think really dressy is right, but not casual as well. We're also going to an early dinner before the show and I'm worried I might get cold later.
When I went, people were dressed all over the map - some really dressy, some in jeans. I wore a knee-length skirt w/a cute top, cardi, and heels. I think you'd be fine in something along those lines.
I'd wear a pretty cotton/printed silk dress, dressy flats, carry a clutch and take a pashmina or jacket for warmth.
(and you're right about it being cold, I was in Marina Del Rey last night and I was wearing a cashmere sweater in June. Downtown won't be anywhere near as cold, but you should still bring something.)
When I went, it was in January so I wore jeans and a dressy top because it was raining that day. I even saw a lady wearing sweats! With the weather as nice as it is now, I'd wear a dress, something to throw on over, and flats or heels.
Thanks for the ideas! Sweats jaymiek? Really _ i don't know how we became "that" casual as a society. Thanks!
Yes, believe it or not- this lady was wearing VS Pink sweats, a hoodie, and flip flops! It's like geez, the whole LA vibe is relaxed, but that was just pushing it.
