i posted in general chat, but thought i'd make it official here.
the wedding was everything i wanted without the headaches. it was short and simple, yet incredibly STRESS-FREE! although we only had 10 guests, all that mattered to me was that my (now) husband was there. turns out the minister is a hawaii transplant in vegas and the photographer lived in maui for about 15 years. it definitely made me even MORE relaxed than i already was. we ended up eating @ the buffet and thankfully, my guests left FULL; no one was hungry.
we'll have to plan receptions for our families, but that's another story. for now, i'm enjoying the moment and getting used to calling him my husband.
i'd recommend a vegas wedding to anyone who doesn't want to deal with the headache and heartache of family politics. it wasn't corny or cheesy @ all and it was a lot of fun.
I had a low, stress wedding as well, on the beach in the Caribbean.. it was wonderful! Love your dress, shoes, flowers, rings and Ireally like your new Dh's suit/tie combo. Okay..maybe I should have just said I love everything:)
Congrats!!! I postponed my wedding indefinitely. I had already sacrificed the dress I wanted, the place I wanted, and the date I wanted to meet everyone's demands, and I reached my breaking point 2 months ago when I found out we would have to postpone the honeymoon for the boy's job. Maybe if I show him your happy pics he'll finally agree to elope vs a big wedding
