The dress I ordered from BR arrived today and while I really like it, is it just me or does it look nothing like the photo online?
Photo online -
And on me -
The color is a bit brighter in person than it photographed here, so it's not the color. The sash on my dress is short - it ties into a little tiny bow if I tie it in the front. The overall length seems shorter and it's not like I'm super tall (I actually assume the model is taller than me...). The sleeves and wrap part at the top seem different too... I just wanted to see if I'm crazy or not. I do like the dress as is and I'm planning to keep it, it's just not really what I was expecting when I ordered it online...

No it's not just you! Everything on the model's dress is longer - the length, the sash. It may just be because yours was packaged, but the material looks nicer in the model pic too.
And thanks for posting the pic! I wanted to try the dress, but definitely need it in a longer length
The first difference I noticed was the color, but you said it is brighter IRL. And it also looks a little shorter on you than on the model, but its still a great length on you. As I kept on comparing the pictures the only other thing I noticed was that the sleeves look a little longer on the model then they do on you and the sash is shorter.
It does look different, but it still looks great on you! I'm wondering if the massively sized up the dress on the model and then pinned it in the back--that would account for the sleeves and the dress being a bit longer.

this is exactly what i was thinking - that they sized up the dress on her to give it a blousier effect.
Thanks girls. :) I considered sending it back for the next size up, but I worried that it would just look too big and not necessarily look on me like it does on the model. So I decided to just keep it and wore it out to dinner last night.
