I recently bought the Jessica Simpson "Amanda" peeptoes and  had to get a size larger because they ran small.  There was another pair of hers I tried on that would have required me get a larger size.  Do her shoes run small in general?  I am thinking about getting her "Malay" shoes and am not sure what size to get.  They are already on sale and I have a 15% off code.  Here they are.

I find her shoes to be very small. I actually haven't bought a pair yet because while I like the basic black peep toes I have to size up half a size and then my heel comes out the back. Once I figure out how to fix the heel issue I'll break down and get the shoes. What do you normally do?

I don't know that is a good question. I had to size up on one of her closed shoe styles, but on a sling back I was the exact same size I always order...
