This dress for a wedding?

I need an excuse to buy this dress, I LOVE it! We have a wedding to attend in July. It's in southern IL. It's not neccessarily a casual event but it's rare these people get all dressed up cocktail attire. Is this acceptable, maybe if I dress it up with gold jewelry? We will be traveling there so I need 1 dress for ceremony and reception.

I think it would work dressed up with gold jewelry and some gold strappy shoes. Super cute dress and it's totally you!

I think that will work perfectly in the summer with gold accessories for a wedding in southern illinois.
