I have 2-3 of my favorite black 100% cotton pieces that I feel are starting to show "fading" and I want to dye them. My friend dyed a pair of his black jeans a couple of years ago and I couldnt believe how great they turned out. I was wondering where I would buy the dye and what the product is called. Does it usually just say on the label "Fabric Dye"?
It's located in the laundry detergent section of WalMart/Target/etc. I've also seen it at Hobby Lobby in the sewing section. I've never used it though. The only brand I can think of is Rit.
yeah, rit is the stuff you use for tie dying. i dont know why it wouldnt work

Try this link...I don't wash my jeans in hot water and I thought the Rit is for hot only?? Dharma has the cold water dye and it's a fun site to look at too!
yeah, you can just get Rit from the laundry aisle... but make sure to only wash the items with each other the first couple times! Rit bleeds like crazy IME
