So I've just been keeping my eyes open for any other potential dresses because, much as I like this dress, I know I will not wear it very often. I don't love the fact that I spent $148 on a dress that doesn't really work with my lifestyle.
I was in Anthro and I saw this dress that I really liked just for kicking around. It's on sale for $80 and I know I would be able to wear it again and again because the styling is more flexible. I also like that it has sleeves, because I hate my arms. Could I get away with wearing this dress to the wedding? I absolutely cannot keep both dresses, so if I can't wear this to the wedding, I will return it.
thoughs on dress #2 and its casual-ness are greatly appreciated.

I think the first one is 10 times more fabulous. IS there anyway you could make it more casual to incorporate it into your daily life? Like pairing it with a jean jacket or simple cardigan? Maybe adding a short-sleeved shirt underneath.
I saw dress #2 at Anthro today and while it's cute, I personally don't think it's dressy enough for a wedding. That said, I agree with Kitty about making dress #1 more casual by throwing on a denim jacket or cardi over it. I think you could totally make it work with your wardrobe!

i agree. both are cute, but i really like #1 more, and would be more wedding appropriate. i can totally see you lilykind-ing the dress to a new, funkier level.
if you're uncomfortable re: the sleevelessness, styling etc., you could always take ilovechoo's advice and ebay the dress. i still think you'll look positively darling in it at the wedding!
I like both dresses on you, but #1 is so flattering and so pretty and perfect for the wedding you're going to. I agree that #2 seems a bit casual for a wedding. I'd wear #1 to the wedding and then see if you can sell it on ebay or find a way to work it into your wardrobe--I mean, you're Lilykind! You can work anything into your wardrobe!
ditto to everything. i love #1 on you so much, and think it's better for the wedding than #2. i hope you are able to make it work for your regular wardrobe because it's so pretty on you.

I agree with NCshopper. I love #2 as a casual dress but the fact the sleeves are so puffy makes the dress less flattering for almost anyone. I would buy #2 still if I could afford it. but wear #1 for the wedding.
i like the idea to keep only #1 and just pair it w/more casual pieces to fit into your wardrobe-i think it would be much prettier for the wedding, plus you could always get a cardi or pasmina to cover your arms if your are worried about it, but personally i think it looks great on you!!
Dress #2 is cute, but I love dress #1 so much better. It looks fabulous on you. By the way, did you say you are going to be in Disney World next week? I am going to be there the 16th through the 20th.
