I am reviewing my shoes and trying to decide what I need to add.
I wear a lot of skirts and dresses in summer and just did a quick review of the dresses in my closet. I have three black/white graphic, two textured white/cream dresses, black with varying teals and greys, teals/blues with grey, pink with a bit of taupish grey, white with many blues (the ECI print with the band at the waist) and a few others.
I already have a natural leather heel with a tie at the ankle, flats in black with largish natural beads, gold thong flats that are good, and a black slingback that could be okay in summer. I like a slingback for summer as it often goes up to mid-30's celcius and my feet swell when its hot. This style helps.
Here are the shoes I'm thinking about adding: A bronze slingback for with the colored dresses
A red slingback for with the black/white and whites or Maybe a animal print wedge for a more casual look.
One very casual wedge.
What do you think? Will this cover it. Any other suggestions or alternative styles/colors to work better with my wardrobe?
While I like the bronze slingbacks (the first shoe), I think they might be a bit too heavy for spring/summer- both the heel and the color are a little much for warmer weather.
Have you tried looking for a blue-ish shoe for the teal dresses? I'm not sure of the prints nor of the color, but since you seem to have a couple with this shade in it, it might not be a bad idea to scout around for that shade.

Hi! I also like the bronze one but I agree with relrel; they are probably a little too heavy on some hot days. I would find a gold or silver, depending on your preference, strappy sandlas or slingback instead. You may not like strappy judging from the style you picked, but I think strappy sandals give you a sexy feminine but light inpression.
Thanks everyone. I have a pair of pointy toe sling back shoes in a soft aqua blue from last year but wanted to update a bit. The bronze shoe also comes in a soft grey-taupe and that might be better. I'm thinking primarily about work shoes so strappy might not work - but then maybe bronze isn't right for work either.
I do like the idea of a brighter color for with all my black and white. I could do a blue instead of red.
I was going to go and check out a few stores today but spilled some very hot wax and three or four good sized drops landed on the top of my bare foot. Now I'm afraid to have a shower since I got instant blisters. Ouch. I may try soon. I have prescription burn cream on them now and thought I'd give it an hour or so to work before washing and bandaging.
Thanks for the help. I went and tried on a few pairs today and ended up with the red ones that Bloomie and the Lovelylady liked. Patent can sometimes be stiff and inflexible but these ones were very soft. I also tried on the bronze pair but in a putty color (it was called winter white but had more of a grey undertone). I almost didn't try them on since the heel did look too thick but I'm glad I did because they are very comfortable. They are a soft kid leather. The last pair I picked were ballet flats in leopard print.
