While I like the color something seems a little off about them, I'm thinking it's the toe opening, it looks really wide.

I feel the same. I always chalked it up to my matchy-matchy control freak nature. Wood brown which is warm and thus can only look good with other warm tones, etc. A little crazy, i know.aww
I do love the color though, but I'm also boycotting patent, purely because it's everywhere. I liked better when it was special and unique.
