I have plans to make an in-person trip to West Elm this weekend to purchase the following lamp, among other things:

capiz table lamp  $99.99

Now, today, I see Target has this one for $30 less. I don't like it as much ... I think it looks cheaper. What do you think? Should I just pay $100 for the West Elm lamp? I plan on buying two. Thanks!

If you can swing the price of the West Elm lamp, I'd go for that one.  I don't really care for the Target one and it does look a little cheap.  Plus, if you don't like it as much, you'll never be happy with it.

I have the very large West Elm capiz chandelier, and it is so pretty!  I've also seen the Target lamp.  It's nice, but not AS nice.

I've been lusting after the same lamp.  Go for the West Elm one!

I would go for the west elm one. Sure you would save money on the target one,but if aren't going to be happy with it then what is the sense in buying it.

I saw that one at West Elm recently and commented on how pretty it was. I agree with everyone else that if you love the West Elm ones, since it is not a huge price difference I would go with those. It will be worth the extra money since you will be more satisfied with them.

Thanks for telling me what I needed to hear. Plus, I went to Target tonight and the lamps IRL were disappointing.

Even from the picture the West Elm lamps are much more beautiful and statement making.  For only $30 more it's a good investment.

When I signed up on their website, they sent me an email with a coupon to save 20% off my first purchase.  Something to consider...

Those lamps are really cool btw, I've been wanting one for a while :)

That lamp is so pretty!  I've loved it for a while but can't figure out how to work it into my house.  Where are you planning to display it?

The lamps (if they are in stock this Saturday when I drive down to West Elm) will be placed on nightstands on either side of my bed.
