I'm desperate to re-do our bathroom. yes, we only have one so it really matters. It's currently livable but everyday another thing breaks. We bought our apt so I can do whatever I/we want.

I'm looking for ideas. If you go to http://www.nykb.com/flash/index2.htm and go to portfolio, then bathrooms, then #3. That is essentially the exact set up of our bathroom, but horribly ugly. I mean our bathroom is ugly, the bathroom in those pix is great.

Our taste is very modern, sleek and simple. The rest of our apt is chocolate brown w/a bronze accent wall and umm, beige carpet and couch with slightly off-white walls. I think the color is "milkshake" I'll try to take/find pix to post on the other thread.

Anyway, I'm looking for bathroom concepts so any help would be greatly appreciated and any websites you guys like wld be a big help. We're not really DIY-ers so I suppose we cld paint, but I'd like to re-tile, reglaze the tub and get a new sink/vanity and mirrored cabinet.

THANKS!

hgtv.com is where I go for some decorating inspiration.  If you hover on the "decorating" tab on their homepage, then click on "designers' portfolio," you will find lots of pictures of bathrooms that you can use as a guide.

The actual shows on HGTV are also really great ... they are always making over bathrooms, especially painting, putting up new tile, etc.  I think one of the best ones is Designed to Sell -- because a good bathroom is an important selling point in a home, the hosts frequently do fairly easy projects on existing bathrooms that don't cost a ton and have major impact!
