My house is about 1450 sq ft and its more than enough space for me.  I bought something bigger than I need figuring I would probably have a roommate (I do) and that I'd grow into it.  I've been there 6 months and its amazing how quickly I'm filling the place up.

we're around 2,000 sq. ft. and it's perfect for the two of us.

My home is around 1300, and it's too small. When DH and I bought it, it felt big enough, since we were moving out af an 850 sq. ft. apt. But, 2.5 years later, the house is filled with furniture and we will need more space once we decide to have kids.

I would like a dining room, a living room another full bath (we only have 1.5) and a larger third bedroom, and possibly a fourth bedroom.

I think about 2200 would suit us once we get to that point.

Ours is about 1200 sq. ft. and it's pretty perfect for just the two of us.  We have enough room for everything we need and an attic to store stuff that aren't in use.  The best part is that our heating and air conditioning bills are really inexpensive.  But whenever we have a kid, we'll need to move.  Our nextdoor neighbors have the same house as we do, plus three kids and I have no idea how they do it.

My apartment is about 950 square feet. It's ok for the two of us, but would be crowded with any more. It's also really small for entertaining.

Our house is about 3200 sq ft. When we first moved in it felt huge, but now it feels perfect. Both my husband and I have demanding jobs and we both have an extra office/work space at home so that takes up some space too.

I am actually in love with the new house, and it is 4400 sq ft, but I cant justify spending the money on it when we dont even have kids nor need the space.

The house we live in is 1,000 square feet.  I actually love the size.  It allows me to indulge my obsession with efficiently organizing things and getting rid of things I don't need.

Ours is 1200 (2bdr, 2bth).  It's fine for the two of us, but is only intended as a stepping stone to get to a house we really like.  I'm aiming for about 2000 sq ft next time (formal dining room, extra bedroom, den).

The plus about a smaller house is that it does cap your costs w/maintenance, though ...

We have 3800 sq feet. It felt huge when we moved it but it's just about right now with the two of us though I have a feeling we're going to need more when kids enter the picture though!

Ours is about 2100sq ft and it's good for us right now, although we plan to move in the next 3-5 years.  I want a fourth bedroom when we have a second baby so we can still have a guest room and I really want a bigger dining area for entertaining.

our house is about 2000 sq feet. it feels okay now, but if we have anymore kids, i wouldn't mind it being bigger. we don't have a guest room anymore and i hate that.

my apt is somewhere in the 780 sq range and it is fine for just me but with BF and just his clothes over here it is kinda cramped sometimes.  I couldn't imagine if he actually had all his stuff over here.  I think I would die.

3208 sq ft.  It's too big for two people.  Right now I am wishing it was small so it would be easier to keep warm without running up a power bill.

I don't know about my place, but my BF's condo is 2000 square feet and he and Vinny are the only ones that live there (technically).  Of course I have "my bedroom" and "my bathroom" where all of my things live.  It really is quite a bit of room consider we are in the city.  It cracks me up though, his master bedroom is bigger then some of the studios that I've lived in.  It is wild, but I am proud that he can afford such an amazing place on his own.

My house is about 2,100. It's a great size for the two of us, and it would still be big enough if/when we have kids (I only want 1 or 2). I grew up in a 3300+ sf house and it always felt sort of empty.

i'm not exactly sure but it's right around 3100. it seemed so big when my husband and i first moved in (we moved from a 1500 sq ft home), but now it feels exactly right with one child. we'd obviously still have plenty of room if we had another child.

I can tell I'm the NY-er on this thread... we live in about 900 s.f. and it's wonderful! Most of our friends are amazed at the size. This in a city where it's not unusual for couples to share places of 600 s.f. or even less...
