Thank you, Shopchicago33.
I cannot wait until you get your little Simon. I know you are going to be the best dog owner ever.
Aww, FP, I love your beagle girl. I felt like I should add Miss Lucy, who is my "niece" but I take care of her several nights a week. She is a 14 year old beagle that my brother found while walking home one night. The weird thing is, she is very petite for a beagle and only weighs ten pounds, so people always ask me if she is a puppy.
This is a rare picture of her not sleeping. Normally, she can be found lounging like Brittney.

Miss Lucy is cute! Hubby says there are two sizes of beagles and it sounds like Miss Lucy is the smaller of the two. I found this when I googled:
BEAGLE SIZES
Beagles usually fall into one of two size categories. The first is a Beagle that measures ten to thirteen inches at the withers. These Beagles average eighteen to twenty pounds. The second is for Beagles that measure more than thirteen inches and not more than fifteen inches. These dogs weigh between twenty and thirty pounds. These sizes are important only if you are going to show your Beagle in conformation, or enter it into a field trial. If all you want is a family pet, the size does not really matter. It is possible for a Beagle to get larger than fifteen inches at the withers.

Yeah, Lucy used to weigh closer to 15 lbs, but as she has gotten older, she has thinned out a lot. She used to be kind of chunky, actually. I live by these women I call the beagle nazis (they like to criticize my beagle parenting skills). They rescue beagles, belong to beagle groups, go to beagle conventions, etc. They say Lucy is the smallest beagle they have ever seen and think she is closer to 10 inches. Whether she was just runty or didn't get proper nutrition as a puppy, we will never know. She was 6-7 years old when my brother found her.
This is Daisy, my 8 month old Boxer. Her hangy lip got caught on her tooth, she's not growling.
This is Kitty (we call her kitten), she was a rescue from the apartment I used to live it.
This is Oreo, he was also a rescue from my old apartment building. He and Kitty don't get along plus he sprays all over the house even though he's been neutered so he's my little outside Kitty. Don't worry though, he's got a dog house and a heater so he's warm in the winter.
as soon as i move out of my apartment and into someplace that i can have a doggie, i really want a welsh terrier. they are such cuties--like a miniature sized airedale and with a very playful personality. if she is a girl i will name her bea or winnie, and if it's a boy it will be bernie. or maybe i can get two!!
