she's so precocious that she kinda scares me. actually, her mother is the scary one. isn't she trying to get dakota an oscar by getting raped in some movie? (i'm overgeneralizing, but still... doesn't diminish the disturbing factor)
I think she is adorable, but I find it a little weird that someone so young would represent a high fashion line. I had no idea what haute couture was when I was her age and probably couldn't name many designers either. This just seems like a strange way to prematurely age kids, but I also think its weird to see really young girls carrying Louis or Coach.
I don't know, this is weird. Aside from my general distaste for DF, seeing a little girl in a fashion ad does not make me immediately think, "Oh my god. I want to look just like her. I have to go buy me some MJ!"

i think those juergen teller ads are pretty creepy- i think she'll fit right in and is actually a good choice. His ads always seem not quite...right. In a way i do think its wrong to use kids for this kind of thing- but she's dakota fanning- who always plays these adult roles. I think its a little late for her innocence- but I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and assume she WANTS to be doing the roles she chooses.
I'm not *that* surprised. She's only a couple of years younger than Emma Roberts, who's currently hawking those candy-colored scribbly D&B She suits the off-kilter styling of the ads and I can see why MJ chose her.
(as for how anyone that age has enough money for MJ...well that's something else entirely)
I don't know if any of you have seen her Teen Vogue article from a few months back, but she seems pretty into fashion and sophisticated in her tastes.

That's exactly what I was thinking.
Okay, because I'm mildly retarded I didn't even think that this could be for a kids line. I just assumed it was for regular adult MJ... if its for a kids line, I think she was a good choice, even though I personally dont' care for her

I think she is completely adorable & seems terribly down to earth compared to other child stars - I just saw some interviews with her & she has chores, gets allowance, etc. Very normal compared to the likes of Paris Hilton. That being said, I do think she's an odd choice for an MJ adult line. Of course, nevermind the fact that a lot of those stick models we see in designer ads are 14/15 years old......

I think it's an awesome ad. And I love that she is smiling and looking like a young, happy girl rather than looking like a "model." If that were the case, I would agree that it would be aging her prematurely.
