Thought I'd do a tree style post. I only have 2 trees decorated right now (4 more to go - dining room gets 7' birds/fruits/pine cones, guest room gets skinny 6' handmade/vintage, master BR gets 6' gold/pine cones, entry has a small one with Pewabic ornaments. I also want to venture into the woods to get some pine boughs for the mantel and other flat surfaces in the house.
I still have a lot to do, but the 9' tree (combination of vintage and new glass ornaments) and skinny 7' tree (all steinbach ornaments) are done:
my husband put the lights on and I don't like how the wires are so visible, but I'm not going to complain, I'm just happy I didn't have to put them up!

D I love how you have trees in every room, so neat. The 9 inch tree is beautiful and filled with so many ornaments. I need to get some more for my tree since I have a taller one this year it looks kinda of skimpy
D, both trees are gorgeous! I am so jealous because, with moving, I was too lazy to put a tree up this year. I especially love the shape of the skinny tree.
Holy crap, the jealousy! I the multiple trees with different themes thing so much! The next house I buy will have room for multiple trees! I love all the icicle ornaments hanging on the first tree, D.

I like the idea of more than one tree D! Maybe I should try that next year. I've always wanted a girly pink theme tree but not sure if that would match my house.
Here is my tree. It's really just a collage of ornaments I like. I've been trying for an animal theme but cute good quality ones are hard to find.
Everyone has such beautiful trees! D, I love the idea of putting more than one tree up.
I don't have a picture but I'll describe my tree for you. It's about 4 feet tall and red tinsel. This year I put just white lights on it and all silver ornaments. The goal is for the tree to be the accent piece in a black and white dinner party I'm throwing next weekend. (All the tables and decorations are black and white and silver.) It looks pretty cool.
I love everyone's trees so much. D, your big tree is breathtakingly beautiful!
Here's mine. The lights are blue and clear. At the top of the tree I put two angel ornaments. One for my grandma who passed away this year and one for Mike (my doggy that passed away last December).
Since we just moved, this was as good as I could do. I'm still missing some ornaments and "drippys" for the tree. I did the tree is bronzes, antique gold, pale yellow, pine green, fuschia, navy blue, and orange w/ a sprinking of a few whites and of course kid pictures from every year:
This is probably the most half-assed Christmas tree I've ever done, but here it is. It's red, purple and gold. I would have liked to add some brown, but I didn't feel like buying new ornaments.
everyone's trees look really great! no tree for me this year because the little miss is crawling up a storm and getting into everything. (and i have been too lazy/busy to go buy a table top tree instead)
I come from a long line of obnoxious tree lovers. In fact, my tree looks like Frankenmuth exploded. But, I love it! When we get a larger house we'll have one tree like the one in the photo, and an elegant tree too. Until then...
That's my "Tacky Tree" collection in the back ground. I began collecting delightfully tacky trees after falling in love with the ornament one at Pier One last winter. Family has had fun picking them up for me over the course of the year. It's sort of a salute to whoville. Here's a better picture of the tacky tree collection.
Please ignore the speaker wire in the corners that DH hasn't cut moulding to cover.
That's my doggers in the corner. Stylethred, meet Mattie.
cat - I have one of these lady ornaments too, only mine has a plaid cape and a dog (she reminded me of me so I had to get her!) I will take a shot of mine and post it later this week.
