My doctor has me drinking green tea to help balance my blood sugar. I was choking it down at first, then I discovered that I do enjoy the Trader Joe's citrus green tea. I'd like to have a larger variety of options tho.
I love green tea. Starbucks mint green tea is good (by Tazo). I also like a lot of the stuff by the Republic of Tea. I usually get it at Borders or World Market, but it looks like they also sell it online here. I've tried their pomegranate green tea, blueberry, apple blossom, wild berry, and the tangerine orange (which I think is my fave). It's a bit more expensive than Trader Joe's but it's nice to have some variety when you're drinking it every day.
my standard green tea is tazo lotus (i like that it's decaf too)
i also really like this yogi kombucha (i like saying kombucha too)
republic of tea makes a lot of varieties that i bet are good. i've tried their kiwi pear green tea (which is also decaf). it's really light though... more of a summer tea... it's great iced.
My favorite is Traditional Medicinals Golden Green. Plus, it's organic and fair trade! I let my tea bags steep the whole time I'm drinking it and it doesn't get bitter (IMO).
This might sound really dumb, but how hot is the water you seep it in? I usually make tea just by putting water in a teakettle, waiting for the whistle, and then seeping it. But when I first got green tea I thought it tasted *awful*... after a while, someone told me to pay attention to the water temperature. You're supposed to seep it at 180 degrees or something, so my very hot water was burning the leaves and making the whole thing taste bitter.
Now that I use cooler water, it tastes wonderful
but no specific recs... I'm still working through my first green tea purchase
Edited because apparently I thought I should spell "putting" like "puttle"

the water temperature is a really good point. also, only steep the tea for as long as the package recommends. i used to leave my tea bags in my cup the entire time i was drinking it, but it gets bitter if you do that with green tea. and with white tea you're only suppose to steep for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

OMG! Thanks for all the great suggestions. I'm totally new to tea, I had no idea that there were so many green tea options.
Thanks for the tips about the temperature. I learned the hard way not to steep too long, but I didn't realize water temp was a factor. That would explain why my tea always tastes better at work where the water is a set temp. At home I usually just boil it - ick!
I live off this stuff when I am sick (like today) or when I am craving that sweet taste it leaves in my throat. Plus it always gives me the feeling I'm at the spa about to get a treatment...ahhh. (you can get it at any Aveda Salon or Spa.)
