The dress that I posted in shopping and asked opinions on and hated was from ebay. When I got it, I thought it might be a fake which is one reason I didn't like (plus the fit was terrible on me!!!). I emailed the seller last time to ask if I could return it. The seller had a return policy so I assumed it wouldn't be a problem. This morning I got an email from ebay saying the seller has been banned from ebay and to not conduct business. Do I have any protection or am I stuck with a hideous fake dress??

I would guess that if she has been banned from ebay, then her paypal account probably has a zero balance. I filed a dispute once with paypal, and they told me that I was right and that i deserved a refund...but the seller's account had no money in it, so they could not recover for me!! I kind of thought that was ridiculous...I bet most shady sellers empty their accounts after each transaction.
If you paid with a Visa...you could try to dispute the charges throught them.
